People who wear glasses face one common issue while wearing a mask together and that is foggy glasses. This issue is faced by doctors and various other healthcare members who wear glasses and mask together.
Here are some tips to avoid foggy glasses when wearing a face mask.
Use a nose clip:
The issue of foggy glasses is due to the air gap that is present in your mask. Make sure to cover your mouth and nose properly with the mask so that there should be no air gap over your nose bridge. If your mask is not able to cover the nose bridge then take the help of a nose clip to close the air gap between your nose bridge.
The warm air from your mouth and nose moves out from the nose bridge and makes your glass foggy. Pinch the nose clips over the nose bridge to block the airway.
Wash with soapy water:
This is a very simple method suggested by many doctors and healthcare members. You just need soapy water or detergent water to stop your glass from being foggy. All you need to do is wash your glasses with soapy water and dry them for a few minutes. Once your glasses become dry, try to clean them with a soft cloth.
When you wash the glasses with soapy water, it creates a thin layer of soap molecules on your glasses that stops fogging.
Spritz with antifog lens spray:
This is the third tip to stop fogging glasses. If you are unsuccessful with the first two tips then get an antifog lens spray from your nearest medical shop or any other commercial shop. When you spray the antifog on your glasses, it will create a protective film over the glasses to prevent them from fogging.
Just make sure to buy a good quality antifog lens spray because if you get a low-quality spray then it can damage the coating of your glasses.
Tuck in your mask:
Every doctor and healthcare members follow this tip to stop fogging glasses. All you need to do is to wear the glasses over the mask. First wear the mask properly, now wear the glasses over the mask so that it covers the nose bridge. This is the easiest way to stop fogging glasses.
